Well the Variable Damper forks already have a brace on the mudguard... the 31k is quite different on the legs in many areas as well, bottom of legs, caliper spacing, no lugs for brace etc, so im thinking the ad is correct.

wont fit mate.... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) cant see how as the 31k has rubere dustcovers that go over the brace...the dust covers ar in the fork on the n1 f1/2 it may also foul the muddy mount...so doubt it will fit mate...tried mine last night and it wont... ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) +1 - Won't fit

Fitted a lc2 fork brace to f2 forks in the early 90s on my specil. The dust seals will stretch and work fine. I did have a after market mudgaurd fitted tho. Fit the fork brace and have a look its only a 5 minute job if it fits then fit the dust seals.

Check out the other forum if you want a fork brace for the 1985-on Variable Damper style YPVS legs as fitted to F1/F2/N/N2 and also the R (unless im mistaken? Im sure someone will confirm but i think they stayed the same til the end once the 85s came along), Wicked Motorsport just made a new one and will sell it as a product soon i think as the prototype just got tested. I saw these being machined on his CNC machine when i was there a few weeks back, gotta love watching CNC machines at work LOL! Anyway, thread is here if you wanted to look. (Assume Norbo doesnt mind me linking another forum or these braces as i dont think he sells a competitor product, please delete this Norbo if i am wrong about that as I dont mean to offend etc) www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6903
