Ive got an over size rad for my oversize engine... but im putting them in an LC... has anyone ever fitted the later rad to the LC? I know normally you wouldnt even attempt it as the LC is the bigger of the two rads etc...

I would think it can be done . I asoom its an alloy rad so you need to make 2 plates from sheet alloy the same as the ones on ther side of an lc and have them welded on .
Thats the rad fitted then you need to have made the hoses to reach the head and a hose to go up to a rad cap . Id thourght you could use a ypvs one and tuck it in some were.
Ive never seen it done but id say it could be with a little work , well more then a little but defo could be done.

Cheers Norbo. Pretty much what i thought, seems more hassle than its worth. I may as well just use the original LC unit and be done. No sense spending a fortune on customising a brand new rad that would be fine for the later model frame etc. as I already have a bike i can use it for.
