Took my lc2 wheel to my local bike shop the other day to get the new tyre fitted and balanced, well they manage to fit it ok but when it came to the balancing they said "my spindle hole was too small for their shaft" so I'll have to get that done elsewhere (more money) . But the guy who fitted did say he had found loads of lead shot or some sort of bead in the tyre which apparently is injected threw the valve and somehow balances the wheel. I've never heard of the this before and was wondering if anybody has tried it. Sounds weird to me but who knows!

Heard they work well, gonna try them on mine when I get my wheels back from powder coat, saves sticking on weights. www.dynabeads.ca/

Tyres do have light/heavy spots which is marked by the dots which need to be lined up with the valves which will help with the balancing but the wheel still needs to be checked. Ive used the lead beads in the 125 and they appear to work well though

Few Balancing machines fit 12m axles (ours) Most Tire installers those who are competent simply clamp one end of the axle in their vise and then balance the wheel. Not rocket science.
