Have managed to track down some wiseco 1.75 oversize pistons as mitaka ,prox dont do them at the moment ,does anyone have experience with wiseco's do they need more clearance than normal pistons

Yes im sure they are not the same . id fit them and see what they work out at befor i ran it im sure they are tighter as they dont expand the same as cast pistons .

I've not bought them yet as i need to know if the clearance is tighter or slacker ,may be better off reboring them yet

I've just fitted some pro x 1.75mm oversize pistons to my Ypvs got them through amazon.com but took 3 weeks to be delivered from Texas USA !!!

America is where i'll be getting mine.Is it true that the wiseco's need more clearance than mitaka's etc

Yeah I did some research about Weisco pistons and the have to have a certain clearance in the bores cause forged pistons don't expand like cast ones.They do however last a lot longer if you get the bores machined to the correct size of piston with correct clearance !

I heard they need bigger clearance being a forged piston and require more warming up Alot of people call then seizco's too ;D stop it now!

The wiseco pistone will need 0.075 - 0.08mm clearance while std pistons need .055 -.065 depending on type and mods.
