Can't help you, but got to share what happened to me yesterday.
I'm rebuilding slowly my LC and finally got round to taking the really old shitty seat in to be recovered. I went to one of the "bike shop" streets in Little India here in Singapore, and came across a shop house with a few bike seat in various states of repair. A little old lady was there, who looked at me smiled, and shuffled into the back to get the guy who owns the shop. I explained to him that I wanted my seat recovering in just black vinyl or whatever and he looked at it, smiled and said "ah, LC tong!" then looked at the shape (it really is pretty bad condition) and said, it used to be shaped differently, so I can redo the foam and make it all original like it used to be, for $50 which is about 25 quid!
Looking around the shop it seems he does a good job as he had a number of seats all in process, with pegs and so on as well as lots of foam for shaping. FIngers crossed, it will be a nice finish!
Every time I go down that way I seem to run into old timer who remeber the LCs from the first time around.

I will also be in the market for a professional to cover my LC2 seat, I've got hold of a genuine 1983/4 cover and would not be best pleased if it wasn't perfect. If anyone knows a perfectionist who is able to carry out these works please let me know - London area.
