That bike is so nice and hard it may seem is actualy nicer in the flesh then in the pics . It sounds nice to .

Took the club members nearly two year to get it like this. Lots of hard work but most members did something. Norbo did the clocks and arrange the crank rebuild and rebore. Plus he helped us out with some parts. I will post a photo of the bike as we got it in boxes.

Yep specialy hand made by Martin Newlyn and the engine was built from scratch by the above Aircooled club member. Well done Gazz it runs a treat.

What finish is on the ally fork bottoms and are they lacquered to protect finish.

There just done with scotch bright and laquered. I would not reccomend the laquer. Its gone a bit milky already in places. Just scotch bright them and polish every now and then.

Yes i have just done mine, wet n dry then scotch bright, washed in soapy water makes the nice and bright then a wipe over with thinners then three coats of lacquer looked fantastic but over the next week i noticed laquer was lifting like little air bubbles so in the end stripped it off, refinished and wipe over with turtle wax.
