That's what I thought. They became quieter as the situation deteriorated. What struck me was how they kept on filming. The commentator changed from commentating on a football match to describing the scenes he was witnessing. Today they would just cut to the studio

I live in Bradford and my wife lost her uncle and 2 cousins in this. I remember visiting the site a couple of days after; it was real earie. Unbelieveable but few years later company i worked for in Bradford was showing this as a health and safety video to show how fire spreads; the H&S guy was a prick.
Theses days everyone remembers Hillsborough (which was just as bad for different reasons) but nobody remembers Bradford; unless you live here

i remember this like yesterday, I think i am right in saying it should have been party day as bradford were celebrating promotion. I also seem to think Trevor Cherryy was the manager and he quit football altogether shortly afterwards Absolutely dreadfull

Yeh they had just got promotion and it was supposed to be a real party atmosphere. We have a football in out loft in city colours signed by the players at the time. I think everyone who lost somebody got one. My wife's auntie gave it to her as she did not want it in the house
