If its the alloy type you just un do the bottom bolts and it all falls out but if its the plastick ones you cant get it all out i think

it is the alloy type... i undoo the 2 screws on the underside and the cover, 2 alloy plates and the spring come out.... this leaves the lock barrell still secured in the cap... i cant see any way to remove the barrell, allthough it must come out somehow..
cheers all

once all the cover gubbins has been removed you will need to slide a thin screwdriver and push a retaining spring loaded plate (just like the ones the key moves when you insert it into barrel) over which will alllow the barrel to be removed!! cheers Colin

Hi Firstly clean it out with carb cleaner so you can seebetter then from the bottom you need to slide over the plate(spring loaded like key plates) to allow the barrel to be removed from top of cap!
