Just done my own, you can get a screwdriver in the step where the two protrusions are and just get 1mm or 2mm at a time, you must be very patient so not to break the thin plastic ring inside clock or chip the glass, gave mine a polish with nilglass then put back in, i used a press and lay down some rubber sheet then put clock face down on rubber then recrimped again 1mm or 2mm at a time, look as good as new.

just changed the speedo on my LC/YPVS to a 140mph one, origonal was screeming like a banshee and the needel was waving like a loon. Fairly easy to do, although getting the trip knob is not that simple as its held on with something like locktight. Once you have the glass off and remover the 2 screws you can get a small pair of needle nose pliers on the thread to hold it or possiblt a small screw driver into the gear to lock it. It wont just unscrew unless its been off b4.

thanks for the replys.... think i will live with the small marks on the underside of the glass...had a go at prising the metal ring up, but the metal seems too hard, and plastic too soft for guaranteed success... dont want to break them for the sake of a few marks.
