this gear that the kickstrt mechanism drives is very sloppy and loose but the brass bushing doesent look that worn or does the shaft am i missing a part or summit here,any ideas?mine is just held on with a washer and circlip.

Hi m8, there is quite a bit of free play, but there should be a shim fitted either side of the gear .

Hi m8, should have said shim / washer either side, hope the photo clears things up - mine had one missing that' how i know .

ahhhhhh, thats whats wrong with mine then,ive no shim in mine never did have......thanks for that now anyone got one lying about for me? ?

They are still available from Yamaha m8 as that's where i got mine, that's if no one has a spare going.
