Just tried petrol in the bike for the first time today and both carbs are p*ssing fuel out of the overflows. I've tried adjusting the floats but I either get bugger all fuel in or lots of it out the overflow and over the drive Anyone got any good ideas how to solve it please

try giving your float bowles a tap with the end of a screwdriver as the valves can stick especially if keyster parts have been used in em. If keyster repair kit has been used, bin it and get a decent kit of Norbo

have you adjusted the float heights correctly, if so check to make sure there isn't any holes in the floats, check there is no crap in the float chamber valve, its one of those things, is the bike on its centre stand

IU've possibly not got the float heights correct. How do you do that . The floats seem pretty sound with no holes in

undo the single screw on the bottom of the float bowl, somehow jam a piece of clear tube in the threaded hole, pass the tube up the side of the carb fill the carb with petrol the fuel should travel up the pipe to within +/- 1mm of the float bowl gasket face, i had the same crack with mine 25yrs ago lol

Yep I had the same shit with my 31k and i'd just put genuine Yam valves and floats in (at a stupidly high cost). Is the tank Flowlinered? Could be the liner disintegrating under the influence of new fuel additives and gumming things up a bit. I've just fitted an in line fuel filter to try to head off problems with mine! Take a deep breath walk away and go back to it later. Good luck.

Nope tanks not lined is is pretty sound. Think i might just end up putting Yam bits in as well; if it cures it then at least i can use the damn thing without leaving a flammable trail behind as i ride into the sunset ;D ;D
