Sorting out a 31k engine for Powervalvepete on the other forum, thought you might like to see the results Think Pete got lucky in some way, as he rode the bike home. The rods have atleast 7-8mm of deflection side to side, to the point where the both nearly touch the webs on both sides. The right rod has alot of up and down movement on the pin/big end bearing, the left has a fair amount less but still has too much. Piston was on its way to going out the exhaust port in small bits. Rear skirt was on its way to join the front. Anyone know what make of piston this is. They dont have the small raised part on the rear below the windows so I asume the are air cooled or LC pistons. Barrels came off undamaged, will be measured and hope it will only need a hone and 2 piston kits.

iF IT HAS LC RODS THATS NOT GOOD IN AN YPVS AS THE LITTLE ENDS ARE 1MM SMALER SO WOUNT SPACE OUT CORRECT IN YPVS CASINGS SO YOU WILL ETHER GET A LOT OF SIDE TO SIDE PLAY OR IT WILL BE A LC CRAMK AND MAY BE MODED CASINGS

He did say it wasn't running right though! The place doing the crank have not seen one so bad, the thrust washers were half as thick as they should be.

Deffo NOT a YPVS piston! It looks just like an original LC(4LO) piston - but probably a cheapo copy. Nasty!!
