There are engineers more than capable over here for sure. Someone posted a place in my PSB thread I can check out. It's still a few miles away but worth a look anyway. In time I will get a garage and some fettling equipment but self teaching in this game is pretty damn tough and time consuming.

'more than capable' i can believe, but 'tons of experience' I dont... i really think you will need to look abroad or go for std Yamaha cyls, or bite the bullet and learn by involving those who have done it and do the work yourself. just my 2peneth...

No prob Jon if it's helping to get another lc on the road ,if I was asked to give advice on building a special I'd say don't do buy one already done for 4 grand coz it cost double that and a bit more lol

If i was gowing to put out the money these kits cost id go all the way and get as big as my money would alow something in the 500cc plus range

thats gona be a hard choice to make you might wana call mark dent (performanve fabrications) he made my pipes but also does rgv250/500 conversions his work is the nuts maybe he would take on the engine conversion ,swing arm,forks and pipe build not sure about wiring and cosmetics,give him a call hes a nice bloke and if he dont wana do it he probably knows who will.

engine is easy bit...athena... stroker crank....cool head....421....36mm carbs pre jetted so close.....straight cut gears...lock up clutch...billet basket...mark dent pipes...would sound exactly like chris... think they do engine mount kit for mito....best to try find one done or half done and do your own engine!

What's the straight cut gears bit about? Never heard of any gearbox mods required...

straight cut primaries allows you to use good tz bearings on crank.

It seems the noise from these bikes might be 100% determined by the silencers. I've watched a fair few drag Banshee vids now and they all sound awesome, obviously with drag pipes with no silencers. Did your bike sail through the MOT with those pipes Chris/smads?

yes mate them banshees sound nice i nearly went for pee shooter ends my self but im getting to old for producers from oldbill ,ithink most bigbores with a decent set of pipes sound the nuts and as for mot it always helps when you know the bloke any way a shitty harley can go through with open pipes so why not a stroker

the cans come with the mark dent pipes mate although he may sell you a set of cans look him up at performance fabrications

sorry to spoil your thunder i know whats its like being dicked around ive lost count the amount of times its happend to me during this build,i asked about yours and they said some waffle about your hubs being one offs?? as long as there done for summer i cant wait theres some tasty lcs in the making at the mo so its gona be a blast.

Thanks mate I've had all the big 4 strokes myself but you can't beat an lc for fun factor especially with 85 bhp you won't regret selling the diesel I promise ya that lol
