How Do was on the phone to Nigel at NK the other day and came a way slightly confused ( easy for me ) so i have a VJ22 swinger going on the back end , he told me to use a ypvs master cylinder and he will make a bracket , so , does that mean i use the vj22 twin pot caliper ? i know it may sound like a daft question but just need to make sure , remember im a newbie hence the obvious questions all input as ever greatly received Cheers wb

Yeah you use the RGV rear brake caliper. He's gonna make you a bracket for the master cylinder (the bit the brake pedal connects to). Are you fitting the banana arm if so the master cylinder has to be spaced off the frame or it hits the arm, maybe thats what the bracket is for or are you having rear set fitted Need more info ;D Here's my RGV arm with RGV caliper & the master cylinder is fitted to the rear sets & the original mounts for the master cylinder ground off.

NK will modify your brake pedal and supply you a bracket which fits between footrest hanger and frame which the yamaha master cylinder fixes to. Picture below not the best picture if you need another let me know. Jess

Hi Nikfubar im looking at you're swinger which is the same as what i bought from evilbay but im noticing it looks like you have a bracket attached to the inside of the swinger that the caliper is then attached to am i correct ? as i reckon my swinger didn't come with this or am i seeing a lug on the underside of the swinger ? Thanks to both of you for you're help . wb

Hi WB Yes there is a hanger bracket which the wheel spindle goes through and locates on a lug on the swing arm, the caliper then bolts onto this. It's the chunky black bracket between the wheel spacer & the swing arm, sorry I cant get a better picture of it but most of it is covered up by the swing arm.
