Not sure if anyone has the answer to this oddity with respect correct catalogue..
Currently rebuilding 1983 31K LC2 using "YAMAHA parts catalogue RD350LC'83 (31K) EUROPE" with a document number of "1331K-300E1" This includes the revisions for Austria, Belguim, Holland, Italy, Denmark and Sweden and is 69 pages in length. Now the reason I am now in doubt is that I notice the frames, 31K-21110-00-FH (UR Fire Red) and 31k-21110-00-33 (UR Yamaha Black) are graphically portrayed as having a headstock mechanical key lock to the nearside of the frame, my 31K model does not have this and I am now wondering if there is indeed another more accurate document for UK only bikes or if this is simply generic with "slight differences" which have not been recorded. Anyone got their anorak on and willing to shed some light please? Regards CJ

Don't think any of the UK bikes have the headstock lock, it was something a few Euro countries had, (have heard a few guys mention their UK bike have this, so its a bit of a wooly subject)

Just looked at the micofiche for the 83 German model and the part numbers are the same for the frame as you have. My 83 LC2 does NOT have a headstock lock only the one in the ignition switch. I have a parts microfiche for the 83 LC2 number : 2331K-310E1 FEB 1983 so will check when I can but haven't got access to a reader locally. Tone

cj Just looked at micofiches RD350LC 83 2331K-310E1 FEB 1983 and RD350LC 84 2431k-310E1 NOV 1983 which both have ENGLAND on the first frame of the microfiche and Don't show the lock on the headstock and list the part numbers for the frame as 31L-21110-00-33 and 31L-21110-00-FH. Tone

Thanks for the info guys; The puzzle will no doubt eventually unravel.
From your info Tone I have also got the fische's coming to scrutinise and hopefully put a lid on any other slight differences.
Much appreciated chaps
