gday, just wondering if anybody has ever purchased one of these replica headlights for a 350lc that you see on ebay? the ones with the bowl, light, chrome ring etc,the whole thing. What are you thoughts on them, are they up to scratch? It's just that i need the whole thing as there isnt anything salvageable with mine and over here it looks impossible to find all the bits i need and would cost sh*tloads, thanks ken.

thanks loctite, it may come down to a money thing in the end with the headlight, i will see this rebuild through, but if i knew what things cost i doubt i would have ever started, most prices on parts are ridiculous to borderline idiotic, ken

good onya nigel, i do need some moral support, your right about that. one thing im cheesed off about is the fact that it cost a fair bit to get the parts to oz, more often than not postage doubles the price, cheers ken . P.S i will still be buying heaps of norbo soon.

gday gary, i think my main problem is the money available to buy parts only comes in in drips and drabs and if it doesnt get spent straight away, the appropriation committee at home here allocates it to something deemed more important, i just lose my sense of humour sometimes i guess.

gday bazza,i wish there were more parts available over here, get the odd bit here and there but for the majority of stuff it looks like the old dart is the spot,if i had the money i would fly over fill up a couple of suit cases and the money i save on postage would pay for the ticket, well maybe?

i have been getting bits and pieces from all over, but i can honestly say without a doubt that norbo has the most realistic postage costs of anybody,

Norbo put me onto Parcel Monkey when I did my orders with him he asked me to use them and sort it myself and send him the label to put on, simple to do and he didnt have to pay it and then have to oncharge etc.

Agree with Gaz, drop him a line, he'll hook you up. He has a steady stream of us Aussies buying from him as we just cant get the bits down here it seems. Im half tempted to become a subsidiary of Norbos and sell his stuff here. LOL FWIW, I tend usually to buy a whole box of bits of stuff out of the UK when I can. Some of the forumers (thanks guys, you guys know who you are) have been really helpful with holding onto some bits they are selling me and then adding a few smaller bits I have dropped to them to go in the box to make up the space, as the couriers (and RM) charge by volume as well as weight now, so it pays to get your head round the postage as bodywork is huge but not heavy, yet some parts are small but weigh a ton, together they cost the price of just one box etc. We do pay a lot to get stuff here so it pays to plan a bit, and luckily this is a hobby and the guys here are really helpful with that, cheers guys. With Norbo, he dropped me the size and weight and I did the payment and then emailed him the label as a pdf, with some other guys they have done it all and ive just sent them the cash (they werent businesses so it was easier to just send personal payments etc). Sometimes it makes sense to go the latter way as the pickup time and date has to be agreed when you pay and its simpler for the sender to do it. Either way, it works and Ive been very happy with Interparcel and ParcelMonkey as senders with boxes landing within a week. And then its like Christmas for grown ups!

another question, i got my replica headlight, the rectangle hole near the bottom is there but the round hole closer to the top half isnt there, will all the cables fit in the bottom hole or should i carefully cut a round hole with a hole saw? i dont know why they would leave this hole out if the genuine ones have them.
