I would like to start up my RZR250 tomorrow, I have replaced the oil feed lines, to the carbs, so I will have to run some premix until the lines are pumping two stroke.
I have "motorex" fully synthetic 2T oil, it suggests on the container to mix at a 1%, (100:1) ratio, is this correct? Normal mineral 2T oil runs at what, 40 or 30:1? If I want to run the "fully synthetic" through the pump, how will I set the pump for such a small ratio?

people will differ but 30:1 is what i pre-mixed on.not 100% about the semi-fully syntec argument because i never heard of that to be honest. id go with 30:1 to be safe-100:1 no way wud i do that

As far as I know it doesn't matter whether you use mineral oil, semi-synthetic, full synthetic or castor oil, you should still use the same premix ratio for them all. I would recommend 32:1 Around 30ml of oil per liter of fuel and you will be spot on Adam

when i used to run mine on premix i did 125ml oil per 5 ltrs of fuel as recommended by an rd racer/tuner. had no probs what so ever, i used to run the rgv the same and my rm250 as well. if its only to bleed the pump then it wont matter that much anyway, will the pump running at max on idle it will only take about 2 mins to bleed it through to the carbs, i usually just knock some up in a 1ltr jug and have a little dummy tank.

32:1 is what all motocross bikes are mixed to and they are race bikes out of the factory.
I have always mixed my 2 strokes at 32:1, my mate swore by 40:1 on his YZ and after a few hours use, it seized because the oil film was not building up fast enough on the piston.
I would always put 150mls of oil to 5 liters of fuel.

With synthetic oils most mx bikes run 100ml oil for every 5 litre petrol,Ive personally ran this for over 10 yrs in sons mx bikes and my enduro bikes, never suffered a seizure

If you are only pre-mixing enough to bleed the pump just put a cap full of oil in half a Ltr of petrol & use a tempoary tank to bleed the pump, the bike will only be running on tick over for a couple of minuits. I use an old oil tank as a first start up supply. Set up the pump as it says in the manual, don't want to be seizing it due to lack of oil
