hi guys advice needed on petrol tank warning decal above or below petrol cap cheers nigel Dont think there was a definitive position. AFAIK it was put on by the dealers. This piccy shows where it was stuck on my tank which is all original paintwork (except the additional decals) HTH OEB

OEB is right there is no correct place, the pre-production models had it in the middle of the tank above the cap

The decals were already on the tanks as they came out of the crates so would have been put on at the factory. Tone

tone not 100% certain of that as the decal has a part number and my local dealer used to put the decal on at the pdi stage and thats why it was never laquered on the tank

I worked in the workshop for Yamaha dealer Keys Bros in Worthing when the LC came out and am 100% that the decals were already on the tanks as they came out of the crates as there was only two of us in the workshop so we had to build them up out of the crates and PDI them.
