Just sent frame off to be powder coated and obviously had to strip everything off..hardest thing to get off was the cup that top bearings fit into..had to break it..ive been told you can do away with those anyway and put different bearings in..could someone shed some light on it..i havent a clue..hope ive explained myself properly.
Cheers
Dave

Don't they use an inner race (cup) too though mellow? I remember having to use extreme man force when removing tapered races from my CR. ... A cheeky pic cause I can ;D

Most cups I have knocked out from the other end of the stock. But my Brazilian 350R was a pain with the upper cup. It was wider than the stock and could not get behind it to give it a bash. I gave in and left it in. I wasn't going to like some do, grind a slot in the frame to get at it. It felt okay with just one new cup and a new set of caged bearings.
