As I had just finished the Lc2 hybrid thought I'd finish of the N2 hybrid. It had been sat in the garage all winter just needing a couple of small things so got stuck in last night. Reg plate holder and plate fitted, reflector fitted and horn mounted on the yokes. Checked all the lights and brakes and got it ready for it's first outing ( beyond the end of the road ) for an MOT 5 miles down the road. Fired up no problem, headed off......................Good news is it walked the MOT Unfortunately after only 1 mile noticed a strange noise. Only happens at 3.5 - 4k on over run or light throttle, goes away on the throttle but feels down on power. Sounds like a bloody neumatic drill in the engine. Revs out ok with no noises, just on light load. Engine had been laid up for about a year before I bought it with apparently recently rebuilt crank and fresh top end. Did take top end off to check and crank felt good and rods look recent. Pistons just had a light soot covering that wiped clean off with petrol so beleived it had been rebuilt. Does seem a little noisy on flywheel side. Did have some doubts as when I rebuilt the top end I oiled it up and put oil down the main bearing oil holes, after a couple of weeks some oil had seeped out the crank seal and noticed last night a slight weep out the LH case. Does the noise sound like a main bearing to any one? was holping it was something clattering with the vibes but think I am kidding myself and the MOT was a waste of time. Looks like the motors coming out then. Steve

found RH pipe is clattering brake arm and chasis at shock mount, will have to check it out along with swinging on the flywheel.
So quiet on stand, less noisy than my lc2 and only at the 3-4k where the vibes are. Lc2 vibes there too.
Realised gearing is different to lc2 and it's ported so that probably explains the power difference.
Sounds sweet at higher revs, kenny's pipes sound awesome, even better than the small cans.

Found the pipes hitting chasis and chain, will have to mod and try again.
