this is how it looked this time last year. Mallory park trackday last april about 10 seconds before the crank let go, going into the chicane out the back gone! Crank repaired, slight tuning and general setup done by my dad and myself, and out at Snetterton late august i beleive Racing at Snetterton with CRMC all packed up and ready to go All set up and dad fixing a brew Dad and my uncle fixing the gear linkage after it snapped on the warm up lap for race 1! race 2 lap 2, exiting the chicane onto the home straight race 2 lap 3? race 3, exiting the chicane against an LC hybrid

most OEM parts i can get through my dad currently. but i'm sure there's a few nice bits in the shop that may take my fancy tyres, I used Pirelli diablos at Mallory, and wrecked them after 4 sessions? baring in mind it was 10 degrees c that day! snetterton trackday and race i used avon road riders. excellent tyre, and i'm sure once i begin to push the bike harder i'll start to find the limits of the tyre!

Hi Zak Avon AM22/23 Club compound m8, I wouldn't race an LC on anything else! They are a bit on the expensive side to buy but I manage to get half a season out of them before changing. Unbelivable grip wet or dry, probably the best tyres I've ridden any bike on, not bad for a twenty year old design ;D You have to go some to find the limits, make sure you get the club compund though, A&R Racing or Dennis Trollope both do them. Proper race tyre for racing with. Nice LC that good to see another one out racing, I race a YPVS/LC hybrid in the Yamaha Past Masters with Bemsee, your van looks a hell of a lot tidier than mine on a race weekend! Over the mountain: Being prepared for Pat Herron to ride in the Paul Hogan Trophy. He got 2nd :-)

I'm at Cadwell Park next weekend, good spread of racing through different classes, 30 odd TZR's, YPVS and a couple of LC's out in the Yamaha Past Masters, come down and say hello if you fancy a day out, under 15 quid for a day's entertainment ;D
I'll post up some more pics afterwards

Technically they are not road legal, they have racing use only on the side and are quite soft so i don't know how long they'd last. Avon do a road version, bizzarly called 'Race', never tried them tbh, but rumour is they are not all that.
At over 300 quid a set I think unless you are doing trackdays or racing they would be a little pointless, but I guess a little work with a scapel and you could

The racing pics and bikes both look ruddy marvelous. That's it! I've not been to watch club racing for years you've given me a kick up the Jacksy to get to some meetings this year. Best of luck to both of you this season.

Ah Mike Smith, bit too bloody quick that boy! ;D I don't know a Jamie O'Brien, do you mean Jamie Cooper? Yep racing is unfortunatly expensive, seems to be getting more so by the entry costs this year Classic club racing is cracking, I went to cadwell last year to watch Mike wring the neck of Paul Bowlings RN Trident, unfortunatly that went bang but Mike over the mountain on that little Ducati was something else! Well worth a day out to watch if you're into old bikes, take a walk round the paddock and drool Check out the YPM website for our dates etc. www.ypmrc.co.ukEven better, drag that LC/YPVS/TZR out and come and have a go Thanks m8, going to be a short season for me this year, money time and homelife stuff I've put on hold for too long unfortunatly

my mistake. Jamie obrien is a TZ guy in CRMC, not ypm xD and yes i've heard he's a tad fast i almost tempted myself to do YPM this year, but would rather do a full YPM season than just the odd meeting :\ plus i'm no where as quick as you lot yet!

By a quirk in the YPM rules the 'proper' lc has no HP limit ;D Unlike the 59 the YPVS are restricted to, mind you an LC would need a fair few to get up the front against the TZR's Because of the valve engine I come under the YPVS rules unfortunatly Drag it out for a round at a track you know m8, you'll be suprised, there are riders of all abilities and wherever you are in the race there is always somebody to have a battle with. Some of my most enjoyable races have been for 20th place Good friendly club and we defeniatly need more LC's on the grid A couple more pics for you: Holding off a determined TZR mounted Chris Holden at brands GP: Mike Smith in his usual position with Pete Fishwick and Peter Branton giving chase
