Blue Smoking Barrels Rally 2011 17/18/19th June -

Okays book it in your Diary now! 17,18,19th June 2011, Swancote country club, Bridgnorth, West Midlands WV15 5HA.

Toilets, Showers, Bar and Restaraunt. Camping in fenced off area. Bands and entertainment on the Friday and Saturday night. Ride out on the Saturday day and Sunday, around the great local bike roads, cafes, bike shops, dyno day aswell. Loads of great attractions around the area for people who dont want to go on the rideout!

£10 per night so £20 for the weekend per family. Tents/Vans/motorhomes welcome. Families welcome and included in your camping fee but children must be supervised at all times.

Hi SpondonChris, Sorry for not introducing myself. I looked at the aircooled rally post and saw that was his first post so didnt think it would be a problem. My names Tom I've been on Aleks RD forum for over 10 years. I have a 350LC and an RGV250, twostrokes are the only bikes im interested in and have a huge passion. I've met loads of great people at rallies and on forums so thought this would be a good thing to do! This is not a buisness nore am I profiting in any way( I have records showing money i've spent and what i've had in booking so far open for all too see if required) , infact its cost me quite abit of money so far. (if the rally turns any profits they will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance, I have an email from them saying there very happy for this to happen). Im just doing this for a good big meet open to all two strokes, everyone is welcome!

Cheers Kenny, Response so far seems really good! Been planning the rideout with Andy U and Andy Bush so should be an interesting one! Quite alot of interest in the Dyno side of things too so all looking good!

Right band booked for the friday night just about to ring the other one i've got lined up for sat!

Celtic Punk band called the barrel o baddies... something abit different to kick off with.

Kenny has also said he'll be taking along a set of his LC, PV and AC pipes for people to try and have a dyno run with! If you like and decide to buy a set he'll knock the price of your dyno run off the price of the pipes!

Can't be bad eh!

Hi Guys, Sorry I haven't bumped this up recently, been a busy few months!

Went down to the Swancote the other day to check all is good and it is. The owner will be putting BBQ food on for us but I could realy do with knowing some numbers, If your thinking of coming can you book through the website or at least mention it on here so I can let him know.

Rough schedule so you have an idea,

Campsite open from 1pm on Friday 17th June.

General setting up tents etc meets and greets.

Possibly a short rideout if people fancy it just to get there bearings.

We have a local Irish girl called Claire Diamond doing a few solo songs on the Friday evening, followed by The Barrel'o'Baddies www.barrelobaddies.webs.com/ who play "traditional celtic punk". Seen them a few times and they really bring the room alive. A nice easy night for everyone to catch up and good music. Nothing too hardcore but should be a laugh. We should have a DJ to keep the music flowing after the bands.

Saturday morning

Rideout around 10.00ish. The planned route isn't huge but is full of great local roads. Maps and directions will be given out on the day (again numbers will help me plan this better) Im sure there will be fast and slow people but just go at your pace, were planning to end the rideout at the local bike cafe. so if you fancy some grub thats the place to be!

If you miss the rideout we should be at the cafe around 12ish so you can meet us there, from the cafe we will be riding to Projex Dyno rooms in Cradley www.projex-uk.co.uk aiming to start the dyno runs at about 1pm. There is a WHEELIE bike there that you can pay for ago, I'll let you know the price once i've spoken to Kev next week. Video of it can be seen here

If you want to meet at Swancote for the rideout, cafe or just straight to Projex then thats fine.

Once were all sorted at Projex we will be heading back to Swancote where there will be food and beer avaliable to start the night ahead!

I think Saturday night will be the night for the beer!

We have a local rock band starting the night off and then followed by the Whisky Syndicate (you have to visit the website and have a listen) again hopefully a DJ to keep us entertained afterwards.

Bar will be open late both nights.

Sunday im hoping everyone will be nursing hangovers.

If people wish there may be a rideout to Cosford RAF Musuem but this is depending on numbers about 10.30am ish. Im guessing most people we want to be heading off but if you do make sure you find me and let me know.

I'll be handing out a mobile number to all that are camping on the day incase you get lost or have any problems. I will try and get my trailer there so if you do sieze that smoker up we can at least get it back to Swancote but I can't say 100% I can. Im sure there will be enough vans and trailers anyway!

Just a bump, Weather looks a little iffy but the bands and bar are all in the function rooms so if it does rain at least we'll be dry!

You don't have to come to the rally to come to the dyno you can just turn up there.

Power runs will be £10
