hi all been looking at my 31k switch gear on my bike at it looks dog rough, it all works fine just looks worn and faded with no decals on and paint left so whats best to paint them with that wont rubb off in the first ride out , oh if i get a good answer i may put some picys up of my bike ;D

Did mine in satin black.think it was bar b paint by plastikote looks like standard finish

Did both my 31k and N2 in PJ1 gloss with norbo's switch decals. Stripped painted then baked in the oven to make sure it was rock hard. Even did the kill switch on the N2 in plasicote red to perk it up. Know the gloss doesn't look standard but then the bikes don't either. Prefered the gloss as the decals are glossy. Steve

very nice,mine are pollished wuld i ave to rub then with 800 grit,prime and paint?

very nice,mine are pollished wuld i ave to rub then with 800 grit,prime and paint? Yes, would need to take give the paint something to grip to. Pj1 (gloss or satin) does not need primer but cannot be clear coated or it will react. Steve.

i did mine as well in pj1 with the decal kit and they have been fine for the past 6 months. they really change the look of the bike as well.

Wasn't their BBQ paint, just their satin black.

i painted my switch gear with pji, i put some isulation tape on it to protect it when putting it together, when i pulled the tape off some of the paint came off with it, i had to strip it and paint them again, i used ACID 8 primer the second time.
