Hey, Your probably realizing i'm asking alot of questions but hey, thats what newbs do. Whats the difference performance wise between LC Carbs? I have 12A, 10W and 1GU carbs and don't know which would be the best for my 10w engine. I'll be running a +1.00mm bore, Reed spacer block, boysen reeds and a micron exhaust if that matters.

10w carb is the best & go for 170 mains full airbox micron try it , you might like it..........or 10w with a cone type filter maybe a spacer & go for 200 mains inc micron, try em both and see which suits you. You might find that a k&n type cone filter gives a lot of noise and not much else or it goes like a rocket. plug chops and a armour of different sized jets is the key to getting it right, oh and maybe a slight tweak of the airscrew and keep an eye on your oil pump settings, if in doubt with a big jet fitted give the pump cable a 1/4 turn. dont do a plug chop on a cold engine either mate..... simple really and don't worry about the q's hope it helps a bit...........

Thanks man. Much Apriciated. I see people talking about plug chops all the time yet I've never had an explanation on how to do one? Or a squash test... I have a head with absolutely no lip on it its been skimmed that much and a original one spare, just want to know what suits better and I was told a 'squash' test tested this?
