Yep, i paid £7500 for my 2008 R1 from main dealer in november 2008, but blew the engine at 8000 miles at 18 month old. Thats why they gave me a new one instead. I would never have paid the £12500 they were at the time!

And this is the reason why today £1 = ¥128 2 years ago £1 = ¥220 everything imported from Japan should now be almost double what it was 2 years ago, only excess stock and desperation to keep trading held things down but a solid business like Yamaha will charge what it needs to.
Euro manufacture is currently cheap but with the tide of rising raw material prices and sub assemblies out of Asia it wont be for long.
