If it's an YPVS 350 F2 carb then it should be a "Powerjet" Carb (rubber tube running diagonally down the side of the main body ?) and on full throttle they use another jet in conjunction with the main jet so they use a smaller main than you think. I would deffo fit the std airbox, remove the inlet snorkel and maybe fit a k&n or pipercross filter element. I have no idea about jetting one to run on a big bore 125LC, sorry

as half of a rd350 ypvs engine is 175cc i would set the carb back to standard and carfuly work from there, dont quote me on this but i think as stanfard f2 powerjet carbs are only something like a 185.
ps as you have a carb with a oil feed nozzel why not run auto lube to make setting it up easier?
personaly i would fit the whole air box and re-fit the auto lube too.

It came with a k&n but since then i have got hold of an airbox, had the top end rebuilt i believe its like 186cc now with 350 powervalve carb ( yes it does have the rubber tube) I am going to premix it because then i am sure whats in my tank just to be on the safe side.

if its a 185 standard on half a 350, with premix, exhaust and filter it should be about 225 im thinking. does this should about right ?

225 sounds like a good/safe place to start mate, might be rich if anything but you can always down jet but filling a hole in your piston is a whole different ball game. If you've made your mind up on the premix then fine but it will be a pain in the ar*e if you're gonna use the bike regularly and do some miles. But like Gaz says, the only way to get the correct amount of oil at all throttle/rev combinations is with the pump, as it has the flexibility to deliver the correct quantity of oil based on revs (by the oil pump plunger speed) and throttle position (cable obviously). Having said all that, as long as you've got a good ratio then you should be fine. I've got an X7 that runs on premix (33:1) but it's a temporary measure until the proper engine is finished and installed (which will then run on autolube) and me the Fizz which is premix from the factory. What I do is keep a can ready mixed up for each bike in the garage (they run on different ratios) and when I go out I make sure the bikes are brimmed and take a bottle of oil that has enough oil for 2 refills I think your main concern will be with this big bore kit, as history has shown that they don't seem to produce much more power and have proven to be pretty unreliable .

My point exactly, if the unrestricted bike is 21hp out the box, it's a whole lot of pain, effort and parts to make it run right and not that much faster than a well setup std engined bike !. Hey, each to their own, personally I'd wait until I'd passed my test and buy a 250 or 350LC
