last month i sold 2 car stereos on ebay and the same bidder won both, great i thought but he never paid for either or responded to any of my messages asking if he still wants them. i checked his feed back and it was only 40 odd percent positive and i opened up a dispute case against the guy thinking it would avoid me having to pay the sellers fee's any way the guy then closed his ebay account and ebay have charged me £16 which they took directly from paypal so is there any chance IL get a refund for the sellers fee,s or have i just been ripped off? it seems every time i buy or sell any thing on ebay i seem to get stitched up by some idiot on there,my ebay account still says the case is open but then it says "note ********* is no longer a registered ebay user" it seems unfair some one can win a load of auctions costing the seller a fortune then just close there account and not have to pay a penny

i can see both sides,i've just sold some stuff on there and with ebay's listing fee then their 10% final value fee and paypal fee it's a right rip off so do put a bit on post but i also refund any if it's way over. i'm with corf, your still gettin the part for the same price at bin 99p + £32 for post =£32.99 or he could sell at bin £30 + £2.99 post=£32.99,u just ain't payin so much final value & listinf fee's

i have let items go unsold...purely becoz seller is taking the piss with p&p charges just refuse to purchase it. yeah i agree a few quid over post cost is fine.Gotta take into account materials used, travelling etc. There's just absolutely no need to f**k about with it.its simples.

twostroker use this link contact.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ContactUsNextGen you will need to sign in first open a dispute , and just wait as ebay will try to contact the buyer by phone , but be prepared for a 3 week wait mate. eventually you will get a refund but it takes an age and many emails, just don't give up unfortunately ebay have chosen to side on the buyer, one good example is the neg feeback that can only be left by the buyer and this i feel is unfair due to right tossers being on there and doin it for fun. you can not repond at all..... wouldn't buy anything for 0.99 and pay high postage costs as it leads to trouble if trying to get a refund. if anyone reports to ebay this type of high postage selling they will restrict the sellers account as its againt egays policy. the fees are now a rip off and so is bloody paypal but hey theres always loot & preloved , Ebid just keep at it and don't let the bar stewards get away with it..

spot on gaz , you cannot bame the sellers though for tryin it on as the fees are stupid,
its just when the buyer wants a refund or is not happy that seller can get snotty and just refund a quid back...........
