Not loving the look of a 1kt front end on my LC, looks a bit unbalanced. What front end could I easily use fitting the following wish list: 110/17 tyre forks a bit chunkier than an lc but no bigger in diameter than about 40mm flat top yoke to weld risers on reasonably cheap

Know it's on a ypvs but RGV VJ21 front end. 17 inch wheel, simply a 5 mm spacer ( from norbo ) and rew eld stops on bottom yoke to fit. Top yoke is not flat but risers are easily machined before welding. Steve

I have always liked the look of suzook discs as they remind me of my old 1100k so I have picked up a set of bandit 400 yokes with bar clamps, one fork and twin disc front wheel for £40 due to the fella losing the fork leg. Must say the KR1 wheels look sweet though!!!!

As you know I'm KR1s both ends, but the 140/60/18 rear tyre is in short supply & I don't think I can get a 150 in the JMC. I fancy a 17" replacement, but the 5 spoke kwak ones are funny to match. Suggestions welcome.

Forks were 39mm dia, with 4pot calipers. It also had a flat top yoke that had risers welded on. OEB

However, I think they might be a 5.5" back wheel so not much use in an old skool swingarm unless the complete transplant is done. I think they need adapting to fit the RGV swingers too...

Interesting - I'll do some digging into Aprilia wheels- the style looks close enough. Cheers

Hi Jason, Ive got a 3MA arm in the back and currently a 3 spoke belgarda brembo wheel. 17x3.00 But once a 3XV one comes up i might try that out. The fronts got a 3MA wheel in kr1s forks.

Have a look at Aprilia RS125 wheels or any of the 1990's Jap 125's. I'm sure a few of them have 140 rears. Mitos might be worth a look too.

Only issue with the 125 wheels are that they are right hand chain. So the rear has to run in reverse

You could use a 125 right hand chain wheel, just turn it round. Then turn the front round to match! You're going to have fun whichever way you go.

I know its not a great deal of power but ar'nt the wheels designed to run one way only due to the shape /curve of the spokes like tyres otherwise all the stress is being forced in the wrong direction then you will have to turn the discs aswell depending on wether they are sided or not or you could start getting fractures where the spoke meets the rim but i am no expert just my veiw

if its got a great deal of power that would make it worse surely ? would you put standard lc wheels in the wrong way round ?
