Im in a strange situation... I have most of an LC engine, but its missing some key parts (its really only the cases and gearbox and the outer covers so needs barrels/head/pistons/crank/stator/flywheel/clutch/kicker etc anyone have those parts they dont want? LOL)... but ive also got a YPVS engine thats almost complete (just needs a crank, dont they all LOL), so if I wanted to get the bike built quickly i could just build it as a YPVS since ive not got a matching numbers LC engine or anything... hmm, decisions, decisions... anyway... my question... if i went with the YPVS engine, would i use an LC wiring loom or a YPVS loom, I have both types, but I dont have an LC CDI or coil (unless anyone has some they want rid of?), but I have a full set of YPVS electrics... so what would you guys do? The LC loom fits the bike better but without the LC CDI would I be better using a full YPVS loom for the PVs etc?

If it was me I would use the YPVS engine & loom, just find suitable locations for the various boxes, strip the loom apart and redo the loom to suit ;D When I built my second hybrid I had to relocate most of the electrics, not a difficult job, just time consuming.

Thanks mate, yeah i thought that might be the best option... sort of means the 'fast build' might not be as fast as i thought... hmm...

It took me 4 evenings (16 hours) to rebuild the loom

Yeah i can see how it would, but you got a nice neat setup in the end.... Im thinking if i used an old loom i would want to redo the ends anyway so maybe this isnt such a time consuming option really...

If you have one id use a ypvs loom and strip it back were nessesary so you can place things were you like . But i do know that Garry robbo has added stuff an lc loom to make it work with all yopvs stuff on it . he has done it for a forum member and im sure would do it for others i dont think it costs a fortune to get done ether.

Just to confuse things. I have built a couple of hybrids and found it easier to use the 4lo loom. Everything fits in the standard place then.
I Put the PV box in the tail and extended the wires to the servo behind the headstock.
I bought a loom off Norbo that came with all the wiring connectors which made it easier.

Thanks guys! Im now thinking of using the LC loom and adding the other bits from what people are saying. Im not scared of electrics at all but having it done for you is always nice, a bit like tea tasting better when someone else makes it LOL. I'll drop you a PM Gary.
