Hi Im Lenny Im new to the forum I love LC's & pretty much most 2 strokes really & probably most bikes aswell. Ive had 2 125LC's in the past, a mk2 which I broke up years ago & a mk1 with a mk2 engine a few years ago which was a bit of a dog to be honest. I also had a 350LC about 6 years ago which I planned to do my test & use but for some foolish reason I sold it for what I paid & bought a DT125R which was a right sack of s**t, the worse bit was the 350LC didnt need a lot for the mot & I sold it for £300 which is what I paid I would pay that for a basketcase nowadays. But forward to today Im taking delivery of a 125LC mk1 tomorrow, it needs the fork seals doing for the mot & its a little tatty but it runs sweet as a nut & seems to be a pretty good bike its also fairly original which isn't really the route I choose to take but its nice to get one that isnt full of bodges. I will upload some photos as soon as I get it & I can't wait to get it mot'd & start buzzing around on it :;D

hi lenny welcome to the the best lc forum on the planet ...are you still on l plates only asking cos a freind of mine wants to get back on a bike again after 25 years how much dose it cost these days for bike training etc to get a full bike licence . i passed my bike test back in 1979 if remember right it cost me the price of a packet of fags to get through it lol ;D ;D and looking back the test was an absolute joke..ime sure there is one or two members who can remember the joke test all them years ago....cheers CBT is about 180 quid! I'd budget around 500 for a full test!

Thanks everyone Im really pleased with my bike the first job is to do the fork seals & also while Im at it theres a bit of mudguard bolt snapped off in the right fork slider. Im not a purist so I plan to do one or two mods to it nothing major though as I don't want to ruin its looks.
I am still on L's Im afraid but Ive never paid more than £100 for a cbt but its worth shopping around.

I think Im just going to tidy it up & get it MOT'd & use it for a bit until I move house (live in a flat at the moment) & I plan on getting a big shed when we move so I will give it a proper rebuild then & get the frame & wheels powder coated etc I doubt it will be original cos its just not my style but I wont do anything too major just a few bits that will make it what I want

...I doubt it will be original cos its just not my style but.... Yeah, for now maybe. But sooner or later the rediculous, sick obsession with green bolts and NOS parts will get you. Even I am getting effected by it and hell, I'm only a 24 year old f**kin idiot!

Thats why I use the SR as my daily hack they just take whatever you throw at it & theyre excellent on fuel too although I used to use a DT125R every day it wasn't economical at all I used to get about 30 to the gallon but it was pretty reliable & was great fun its still knocking about now & its still on its original piston & bore from 1994 superb bike. Back to the RD Ive got the forks out now so should have new seals in tomorrow & pop the forks back in
