What are you running at the moment, exhaust? Gearing etc?
It all depends on what you're using the bike for, a good idea is to start by making sure it's running properly how it is, carb set up properly, exhaust not coked up, correct plug, etc!

personly id leave it all standard except a simple expansion chamber like a allspeeds or micron and re-jet accordingly as like all engines when you try to squeeze every last bhp out of them reliabity will suffer. a decent exhaust is the most cost effective and most sensible mod in my opinion,id forget reed spacers,k&n filters and skimmed flywheels for now, infact the standard air box is very good on a 125lc.

I've got to agree, if you start tuning the nuts off it, you will start sacrificing reliability then you'll need lots of money!
