was wondering whats peoples thoughts about lightened flywheels? has any1 got 1 fitted?

i had one on my 175lc, faster pick up but didnt feel as willing to "cruise" but over all it was better than a standard flywheel,personal preference. you will notice it will rev up a fair bit quicker

It wouldn't be so hard on the crank bearings right? If you balance the flyheel after lightening it ufcourse.

Rev it more then so you start to hit the powerband, then it'll happily cruise around.
Sorry about the colour, I just had to do it lol.. ;D

dont have too much removed...seen them fracture and shatter on lcs's...you have been warned... sounds scary,ive seen a nova stock car gearbox that had a heavily skimmed flywheel that broke up and come through the gear box casing,i wouldnt fancy that next to my foot

If i was going to get mine lightened it would only be to give the left main bearing an easier time as its a fair old chunk of metal hanging off the end of the crank in my opinion

yepp id say so mate revvs up quicker and i do belive it revs round more too ;D
