Right, I've decided to convert my mk2 125 into a powervalve, but could do with a bit of advice! I obviously need a powervalve barrel and head, I know the con rod is different, I'm going to have it "tuned" a touch and I'm going to run a different carb I also obviously need the powervalve control box, servo, cables, etc etc. Here's the questions! Are the cdi units and stators the same on the mk2 and 3 Rather than cutting the loom I intended to add the wiring for the control box so it could be replaced at a later date!

id buy a complete loom with controll box and cdi and powervalve pullyss off a working one as it could be trouble mix and matching odds and ends, garryRDrobbo will know for sure fella.
or even better you could just get your mk2 barrel resleeved to 175cc as it will be less to go wrong and probaly produce more torque, mine went pretty well and it didnt cost a great deal to get done.

The aim is to run a tuned motor, but it should still have loads of bottom end with a working powervalve. and go like stink top end!

UPDATE
The barrel I've got has had a 1mm rebore, and now Taymar is doing some tuning magic on it, he says the working powervalve will mean it keeps its bottom end whilst improving it loads from standard, I'm then going to have it polished to match the rest of the engine, then I'll put the barrel to one side, all oiled up nicely until I get some more pennies and source a CDI unit
