I saw this ebay listing and thought i would treat myself to an early birthday pressy
This is exactly what it said with nothing taken out and tell me if im wrong but it sounds like a micron fork brace to me.
New Micron Fork Brace
Fits RD250lc And Rd350lc 4l1 and 4l0
Postage Is Sent First Class Recorded Only. International Postage Is Recorded Airmail Only
The listing has now been changed and "repro" added
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=110529829722&view=all&tid=524000455001
What I received was a fork brace that has been reproduced that has lots of machine grooves/lines in it.
It was not polished and clearly not a genuine Micron fork brace and this was evident as soon as I opened the packet.
it cost £105.50 including post and I did not think it was worth the money for the quality.
Sorry but my photos are crap, I tried to get some close up, im crap at photography.
I am not saying these are crap.
I just think that the listing should state these are reproduction, show clear photographs of the finish and they should be polished.
I purchased a NEW Micron fork brace and when I compare it to the ones on my other RDs it is clearly very different.
With alot of polishing to remove the machining marks it may well look OK but for £100 I would expect it to be perfect.
The description on his new ebay listing now says they are repro and the price has dropped to £85
Legand Motorcycles has offered a full refund immediatly and I will be sending it back on Monday.
At the revised price oif £85 I dont think the price is to bad if you dont mind alot of metal polishing bit still not as good as an original if you can find one.
What do you chaps think???
