Does age make you think you can do or remember things that you cannot. like taking an LC apart and saying to yourself of course i will remeber how it goes back together. Then 4 weeks later finding you have a 300 part lifesize meccano kit with no instructions!! Or saying I have the willpower not to bid more than £20 quid on ebay for a "mint number plate holder" then finding you have won at £90 for something thats been butchered more than sweeny todds customers...... Is it just me?

Thank god i'm not the only one going nuts. This forum is indeed full of like minded (forgetful, old!!) LC fans. Just the place for me!
Oh well time to go take my medication ;D ;D ;D

Aha! it's not just me then ;D I have just had a bit of a sort out in the garage and I've found several boxes which have the same "must have" parts in them I keep telling myself, I must do an inventory of the parts I buy so as not to double up, but then I forget. . . . I thought this sort of thing kicked in when you get into your 80's ;D ;D ;D

We all must be the same then, going through a chest of bits the other night clearly forgot i had powder coated frame parts, nos parts and panels could build another bike with whats in there, even found a pair of shot blasted wheels just ready to repainted and polished, trouble is too many projects!!!! by the way not RD parts, all Suzuki but do not hold that against me, Tony

And for my next trick...... Just spent £46 on one of them push button combination security locks for my bike shed, (the type you see in office blocks etc:) coz i have far too many keys already !! took me two and a half hours to fit it, shut the door then stood back and admired my handy work and suddenly realised i had left the combination / instructions in the shed No other way in but through the door, so had to borrow a firkin' great big screw driver and a hammer to jemmy the lock off the door to get in lock is now knackered, door has a bloody big hole in it, and i'm £46 light. What a nob.

When I finished rebuilding my Fizzy, I ended up with 2 sets of fork seals, 2 brake light switches and loads of new nuts and bolts. If only I had stayed away from evil bay !!!!!
Just about to start rebuilding my RD200 so god knows what I'll end up with coz I know I won't have learnt my lesson....

Selective memory me thinks. Never forget anything that interests me but the wife can tell me something and i've forgotten it 5 minits later. I even forgot she was going on holiday without me until she asked for a lift to the airport ;D
