I set to this morning and made a clutch arm bearing insertion tool thingy from a flanged bronze bush. Wrapped it with loom tape so it was a snug fit inside the bearing, cut the top section off an M10 cap head bolt and put a washer in between that and the bronze bush. A 16mm socket then fitted snugly over the cap head so I could keep it all square and it tapped in with ease.

I ended up breaking the inner cage out and that leaves the outer shell which has a lip at the top and after I gave it some heat with a heat gun I used a flat screwdriver and tapped under the lip and came out quite easy

I am 50/50 if to change this out. I expect those bearing would never fail on the use they get.
Assume having the cases bead blasted must be done. I just clean washed case sprayed the top so thinking it’s ok. Any one had it fail?

Any tips on how to get the roller bearing out? Sometimes they come out reasonably easy, sometimes they're a real b1tch. If it's the latter, prise the cage and rollers out and carefully cut a slot in the outer sleeve with a tungsten carbide bit in a dremel type tool, it'll fall out after that.
