Hello everyone 👋🏼
Recently upgraded front braking on a 350YPVS with a nissin radial pump and Triumph caliper..Wow, What a difference!!
Now I want to 'upgrade' my current Hard cable clutch action with smooth hydraulic. I'll be using nissin radial clutch to match the brake one.
Now the question:
Which slave cylinder do you recomend??
Im looking at magura for quality..

Welcome, the guys here really are a font of all knowledge, so if it's out there , you will find out. My lc has the heaviest clutch known to man , new springs, new cable and a long lever haven't really helped much, so I'm thinking a hydraulic one myself to. The only one iv found so far to purchase is from NK Racing, does look nice. Digger.

What most fit is standard springs and a genuine cable run correctly ,usually sorts the problem although its still not as light as other bikes.

Standard Lc clutch set ups aren't known for being heavy. Have you got a genuine Yam cable in good condition and routed correctly ? And as Stusco says, standard springs should make life comfortable - heavy duty springs - even just 3 of them, will affect the feel at the lever. I've got a hydraulic set up down the shed - came off another bike - but never felt the need to fit it - with a good standard set up I dont see the benefit (apart from being a bit different and looking a bit trick !)

As has been said the standard set up should be fine and light
Mine is putting out mid 70's at the wheel and is now fine with XS plates, standard springs and a genuine ypvs cable
Also have a good think before going to the effort and expense of fitting a hydraulic set up
I've heard many people do it and it makes absolutely no difference
The reason for this is the clutch mechanism needs a certain amount of travel. To reduce effort you have to change the ratio so to get a lighter action you get less travel

The clutch was hard but bareable when i fisrt got the bike
After replacing gear oil, instaling new springs new yam cable, the other one seemed Old, the clutch action was much harder.
The FULL stock lever action yields 10mm of travel.
I ordered all parts today, will report back when its done.
1. Nissin Radial clutch Master Cyl. 2. Hymec Off-Road MAGURA 0120655, clutch slave Cyl. this is what banshee uses.

Now, that is interesting, iv used a oem cable, ebc springs, and it's still super heavy.

I fitted a FJ1100 slave and master cylinder to my RD400, made up a mounting plate and an extension to the push rod, reason I did it was with a cable I was constantly adjusting it.

Now, that is interesting, iv used a oem cable, ebc springs, and it's still super heavy. If the EBC springs you fitted were the 10% stronger ones, and you put 6 in, it ends up far too heavy unless you've got arms like Arnie. I'm generally OK with 3 HD and 3 standard, but as I get older, weaker and the hands become more arthritic, even that is getting more difficult.
