Trying to change the colour on my bike , want to change to French blue but am really struggling with the white , ie pearl white , keep doing test cards but they just don’t seem right . Does anyone have the paint code for the white on a French blue bike please. Any help would be appreciated

It’s a 83 lc2 in French blue , it’s the white I can’t seem to get the correct paint code for , can get it from r/s paints but it’s about £240 for the white

Jeez that's steep
Remember you can just buy the COB pearl white from them but use another white base and clear coat

I say that as I've had new pearl white and silky white from them and both used the same plain white base
Just make sure you get the solvent based paint and not a water based one

Do you have a paint code for the pearl white as I can mix our own if I have the right code

I'm afraid not, I binned the cans when I moved
Think the codes on them were just their own code and the name
Personally I'd be taking an original panel to a large retail park and walk round looking at the pearl white cars for a match 😉

Not a bad idea , thanks for all your help and messages, will just bite the bullet and buy it from r/s paints ,just want to get it finished for summer. If there are any paint codes I will put them on this message group , hopefully it might help others 👍🏼

Pearl white is a funny thing and my JDM LC was a blend of gold, purples and greens in the pearl and only a pro could match it in the end. I did once paint a small repair on a KTM Duke2 with green based metalics with two cans, of green and black gloss sprayed in two hands at the same time (like a 6 gun shooter lol). it came out perfect but it was a repair and i dont recommend lol

When I went to my local paint shop, they gave me a plain white primer and base, with a tinted lacquer, so lots of different solutions are possible.

I just took a sample along to a local car paint supplier. Can is long gone I'm afraid, but easily matched.
Edit: I've used a few whites, one was K2540 / 209Z Bianco Renault 04318.
