Ahh KTM and electrics... Someone recently used the old brand name Lucas when referring to a KTM he owned here. I feel for you mate.
Can you still buy a brand new loom for it I wonder?
(Im not a hater, I bloody love KTMs...)

Anyone familiar with KTM electrics as I need my 2011 300 xc loom looking at and possibly repairing. If it’s any help, the connectors on my 2014 ktm excf were made by Molex and the size was 0.093”. It took me quite a few attempts before I got the right ones. Hope that helps.

The looms are available and reasonably priced, they also didn’t really change from 2000 until fuel injection

Ive owned a bunch of the 90s and 2000s KTMs and they were great, never let me down etc.
I do hear the newer ones are less good from guys I know who were mechanics at a dealer here. I was a bit gutted as Id love another, I was a huge fan of the brand back in 2000s.

As another 450EXC owner, I've always throught the KTM prices were very reasonable - Oil filters, decompressor lever, rear light, plastics, etc. (Green laning, these things get busted easily.)
I've also heard the same about the post RFS engines. The RFS are pretty indestructable.

I owned a 83 125 and it was possibly the most unreliable bike i ever owned even though it was only 1 season old. i went back to ktm in 2009 and they were good so i stayed with them until 2016 when i jumped ship to beta and never looked back. i did buy one of the first tpi huskies in 2018 but didnt keep it long and swapped in for a beta.
