Hi All
Looking for recommendations for a fuel tank repairer, the further north the better. Not a yam tank but the same old problem with tank rotten through at the bottom and lots of pin holes.
Preference would be someone to cut out and weld in new steel sections, then I can use sealer to be sure it wont leak. Every second hand tank I have seen is just as bad or priced mental high plus it'll need paint afterwards
Any happy customers out there?
John

Bike Paints in Cupar do tank repairs but no idea how bad it can be before it's beyond them
They know how to charge though
Do you not fancy having a go?
Bit of brazing or silver solder

Thanks Wassy I have read good reviews from them and might check them out. Tank is not in great shape but probably worth salvaging John

Bit of brazing or silver solder Steve Hi Steve I will have a go at most things but this is beyond my capabilities methinks Given the number of holes plus someone has previously attempted a braze repair i think the tank will need cut open to assess the state of the insides. Some solid welded patches and then a good lining treatment and it should be good Tank is for a GS1000E if you know of anyone who has a spare taking up space. John
