I got a price today for genuine fork seals from my local Yamaha dealer and it was £42.86 for the pair. I like them there and they are pretty good to me generally but is it really worth getting the genuine ones when pattern ones are approximately £10-£15?
What do people reckon?

I always use OEM for this. They last longest IME.

100% genuine Yamaha every time.
I fitted genuine fork seals to the F2 forks on my LC2 but scrimped on the dust seals and bought pattern ones.......they cracked and split in no time! 😩

Genuine for me too. It's a pain of a job on a built up bike, so why wouldn't you fit the best seals available ?

Thanks guys genuine it is then. Plus new bushes also.👍
I’ve also just bought genuine base and head gaskets for the planned engine strip, ouch this is getting painful! 😱
