Hi all, I am in the process of fitting a replacement side stand bracket as the original was missing on my RD350LC 1981
If anyone has a frame stripped with an original bracket still attached could you please put a straight edge across the lower frame tubes and measure the angle that the bracket is welded at.
Any close up photos also appreciated. Stand up and down so I can see the angle
many thanks Steve

Hi I have had a good read of your blog and have to say it is great information. I don’t suppose you have the rod measurements? I was thinking about how to get in the correct location in space. Thanks

Hi I have had a good read of your blog and have to say it is great information. I don’t suppose you have the rod measurements? I was thinking about how to get in the correct location in space. Thanks I don't have the jig measurements After I used it, I hung it up, for "later", then I needed a spare sidestand for some reason, so it all got cut apart. It was very Heath Robinson, and there was a bit of flex in it. The jig on it's own would not have been enough. I needed the little angle measurement on the steel rule to be sure it was in the right place at the right angle. I think you'll be OK with eyeballing it onto the frame at the correct angle. Make up a little tool like I used... ...taping a big paper clip to the top of a steel rule. I'm sure you have similar... (probably better), lying around Thanks for the nice words about the blog. Ray
