I'm confused. Doesn't take much I know....
On all the powervalve engines I've stripped and rebuilt in the past, there's always been a big thick black O ring that sits between the basket and the gear on the clutch baskets.
However, I've recently stripped 2 1WT engines for rebuild, and neither had it.
Looking on Fowlers, it's on the fiche for the LC and the 85 YPVS, but it's not present on those for the 86 and 88.
Did Yamaha decide it was a waste of time and dispensed with it?
