The first platers took too long so that batch got taken to a different platers. I also took a 2nd batch to a 3rd platers in the hope of getting some sorted by next week!

I've heard of spark eroding being used to remove broken studs. I've never used it but I suspect it's expensive so unless the part I have the broken stud in is very expensive or hard to replace I don't think I will. I do have ZXR400 caliper with a snapped off bleed nipple in it that I'd like to remove. I made it more challenging by adding the end of an 1/8" drill to the nipple . I was given some new calipers but if anyone offers to spark erode for free I'm in there . It looks like it's used to 'sculpt' metal in a 3D way rather than just cutting simple 2D shapes which these are. I've had full sheets of parts cut for less than £50 at work. I don't think they'll switch the EDM machine on for that . The original ones were stamped out, probably by the thousand.

Yes they would do the job but a snapped off bleed nipple would seriously bother me and prevent me from using it. The guy even gave me the new calipers but I hate giving up a task and admitting defeat. I never took any chances with my LC ones. They had never been undone since I bought the bike in 1987. I dropped a M8 nut over them and welded them on with TIG. They both undid easily with a spanner while still very hot. They may have come undone fine without the nut and welding but I didn't want to give them a chance
