Hi
I'm refurbing a 31m swinging arm for a project and wondered whether its possible to switch out the bushes on the main shaft pivot and replace with the bearings from and F1?
Thanks

Not sure on that one mate but I know my 1985 RZ350 swingarm has needle roller bearings fitted from the factory.
It's basically the same swingarm as the 31k LC2 so there should be no real issues in getting them to fit.👍

I'd think it needs a specific bearing, not just the F1 bearings
End caps, thrust washers (only on F1 type) and centre pivot tube are different

Yep I also looked into it further. Removing the old main pivot spacers with the flanges means you'd need to add 2.5mm each side to compensate if using the roller bearings. I'd decided to stick with the existing as they are in surprisingly good condition

Yeah...... that's what the thrust washers and end caps are for!

yep, Think of it this way, the caps are 1mm thick and the thrust washers are 1.5 on both sides.
With the other kits a cut spacer/thrust was included that sat inboard to locate it and then the required distance outside. NKS version worked well.
FYI the LC yambits kit used bearings with loose needles, it wasnt a fun thing to fit cos of that. These caged units look much better.
