Apologies if this is a stupid question I'm building an F2 and I have just tested the electics. Everything works fine except the rear light. With the switch in "PO" the front sidelight is lit and the rear light is lit and the brake lights work. With the switch"ON" the front sidelight is off and the main headlight is on and the rear light is off.The dip and main beam work, the brake lights work and all dash lights are correct. Should the rear light be lit or does it only work with the engine running? It doesn't seem right to me All the connections seem good so thought it may be a fault in the switch?? Any help appreciated

Sounds like a fault in the swith to me Steve I was thinking that too. Only one live feed wire to the rear light so if it works in one position and not the other suggests worn contacts. Jon

True Jon 👍
From memory the wiring diagram shows the switch and 2 positions showing the power connecting to the pilot/tail circuit in the PO position and in the on position it is still connected bat a second connection from the headlight feed to the hi/lo switch on the other side
Sounds like the first set of contacts are dropping out as you move the switch to on

Thanks a lot guys I'll strip it down tomorrow and see whats what. Crazy how it's working perfectly then you put it in a box for six months and it stops working
