I'd guess either a plug needing cleaned/changed or the carb pilot jet is blocked
Does it chime in if you pull the choke out

@johnw I swaped the left plugcap to the right but the cap from the right side seems to not fit properly on the left s park plug
The cap sticks aut about half a centimeter
Shoud i start the engine anyway?

I'd guess either a plug needing cleaned/changed or the carb pilot jet is blocked Does it chime in if you pull the choke out Steve Sorry i dont understand "chime" It translates it to glocken spiel If the choke is pulled to the left side the bike barely keeps running and keeps losing rpm Smokes less If pushed to the right the bike is running smother and tends to stay running Smokes more On both acasions the acalerator on the right handel bar (bad englisch sorry) is pulled a bit to stop the engine from stopung

when Steve said "chime" he was meaning "start to run or fire up" if the choke is pulled out and the bike fires up on that cylinder then there may be a blocked pilot jet and there will be no fuel reaching that cylinder when in the normal position but having pulled the choke then there is more fuel available so the non-firing side should fire up..
pilot jet holes are very small and it wouldn't take much to block them, there is lots of info to be found using search button at the top of the page, have a look for items such as "blocked pilot jet, cleaning carbs et c" and when you get more familiar with the bike and comfortable with dismantling the carbs then there are the threads on how to remove brass balls and clean out the air passage behind them..
hope that helps a bit..

Yes, as Martin says 👍
I take it the bike has been laid up for some time

Welcome to the forum. The advice above all sounds good. I'd also be checking why the plug cap doesn't fit. Maybe worth a new set of plugs and caps. Remember that either the plug or the cap has to be resistor type, not both. Again a search on here would give you plenty help on this.

As Shaun says the fact the plug cap isnt fitting is a worry, if the cap doesnt pass the current to the plug then it wont spark, no matter how old the plug is.
Swapping the plug caps over is a simple way to prove its the plug and not something in the electrics, ie coil wire etc
Anyway... As Steve touched on... If you have just got this bike and its not been run for a long time then be aware that starting and running it could possibly do serious damage which will cost you a lot of money to fix.
Stripping and replacing the crank seals and seeing what is inside an unknown 2 stroke engine is the best way forwards, its not like a 4 stroke.
Cranks and cylinder bores and pistons on consumables in a 2T etc. But you dont want to ruin good parts just to hear it make a few mins of noise. I fear the youtube videos of cars that have sat for 25years and then driven 700 miles home have been good for the old 2T bikes, you just cant treat them like that.
