Getting ready to put the bike away for a few months seem to be different opinions on whether to fill the tank or empty it ,is there a particular brand of stabiliser for E5 that anyone can recommend

Hi mungo Yes, this is quite a common question at this time of the year. I have noticed 2 dominant schools of thought across multiple forums 1) empty the tank or 2) fill to the brim with E5 (or E0 if that’s still a thing at some Esso garages). I ride mine often enough to not worry too much, with only a 2-3 month period when it’s too cold and salty to ride, although I do add a little bit of the Briggs & Stratton Fuel Fit additive to my petrol powered gardening equipment and bikes. Filling to the brim is something I intend to start this Winter too. Cheers Geoff

You could make some E0 and fill the tank with that. Look up removing ethanol from petrol.

Remove E5 or E10 from the tank and put some Aspen4 in, fire up and run to normal temp occasionally.
