OK looking to fit a dt200 motor just wanting to know what others have done regards stator/flywheel cdi and carb. I've got a mk3 wiring loom cdi stator and flywheel but thinking of going the ignitech route. What have people found to work best? Cheers

Ive got a standard 1986 DT200 37F grey import, if you're gonna drop the motor into a 125 chassis best get your hands on an OE manual and parts list from Japan. Most of the parts are standard through the range and a lot of them used are prefix 37F and 10V or 34X and if you can't get the 37F parts a lot of these are available for the Blaster 200 eg pistons con rod.As the DT200 wasn't a UK bike try Canada, NZ and Australia for them and of course Japan. They are lots of Japanese resellers for second hand parts but the way the world is at the moment you can pay just as much if not more for shipping as you pay for the parts. But if you can't get them in the 1st place where do you go ?? The 200 37F was designed with the 125 34X and most parts are the same.
Try Aleado.Com this is a Japanese shipping agent who will bid for you on parts and get them from the seller and export them to you. that's if you're in the UK ? or 2stroke race lab in Greece who can supply or modify the YPVS controller if your struggling.
Cheers Gaz

Thanks Gaz. Think I've lined up a half decent engine with stator and flywheel plus pv servo. Will fit some mains seals in just incase they've stiffened if it's sat a while. I'll have a look see if there are any parts lists or manuals online.
Cheers

Pete what are you going to do for exhaust carb airbox etc ? You may meed the regulator as well and go the full hog and fit the harness if the rotor is 3-4 pin ?

Spoke to a few people and they seem to be going with a gu flywheel mk3 stator with the plate slotted. Ignitech seem the way forward for cdi and standard pv controller. Carb and airbox I'm not sure yet, thinking 28mm with pod filter but want it set up properly. Exhaust I was wanting to see mick Abbey if he could make one so the diameter and length are right. Bang goes the pension fund 😅

Its only money anyway, best build the bike you want and can ride now, sooner than waiting till your 67 and find you can't ride em anymore when you have ye pension

Here in Belgium I fitted the full race Ignitech to a lad's DT about 10 years ago which controls the powervalve as well and a modified 125 Turbokit pipe, low slung look as they they like over here. I now use the TK pipe and Ignitech on my RDs, but on the standard motor as prefer the RD to ride like an RD how I remembered it. Another lad here swears by the HPI kit which I thought was spending too much money. My Italian DTR125 was quicker than the standard 200. I'd like to see someone get the TZR motor into an RD as it would be a lot cheaper due to availability. I've got mint 1GU flywheels for sale. And the white SWISS YPVS below is always for sale as I have too many (also TK pipe and Ignitech) it's now on a UK G plate as well.

The Turokit exhaust! I orderend one because it comes with Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis, which means it is road legal. I fitted it (fits poorly on the MK1) and started the engine. Sound fits for a racer, much too loud for street use. Sent it back.

How do you rate the tK pipe Mike ? Seem good value compared to the usual suspects Hi mate, they're a bit overpriced for the quality. They seem to be optimised for the YPVS bikes. I've not tried one on a MK1 yet. The feedback I've had for the Allspeeds on YPVS bikes is that they don't make much difference. These TK pipes are 1 second quicker over the 1/4 with not too much lag appearing low down. The 1GUs seem optimised for general riding with no lag lower down, and of course soundproofing.
