If you are riding or driving a UK registered car or bike in Spain, be sure to have your original V5 document, drivers licence and passport with you.
The local police demanded these of me the other day - I had photos of my V5 and passport on my phone and my licence with me but that apparently wasn't acceptable.
Cost me €250.

We were over in Spain for three weeks last year. I had my driving license and passport but can't remember whether is was the original V5 or a copy I had. A good colour copy would be hard to distinguish from the original. I'd be reluctant to take my original. It would be so easy to destroy it when your travelling from hotel to campsite to ferry especially if it rains. Fortunately we never saw rain from leaving home to arriving back 24 days later. Lucky to go 24 hours without seeing rain here I just had a quick look and it lists the above. It also lists GB sticker. It's a UK sticker you need now so at least that bit is wrong.
